Zele Wind Farm

Eoly Energy is planning to erect a wind turbine in an industrial area to the north-east of Zele, near an already-existing three-turbine wind farm. The new wind turbine will have a maximum capacity of 4.2MW and a height of 180 metres.

Ghislenghien Wind Farm

Eoly’s wind turbine in Ghislenghien supplies electricity directly to Colruyt Group’s nearby distribution centre, along with its coffee-roasting and wine-bottling facilities. It has a capacity of 2.05 MW. The Ghislenghien turbine, which we erected in 2007, was our second ever turbine.

Fernelmont Wind Farm

This wind turbine will be built on land owned by BelOrta SCRL/CVBA, a Colruyt Group supplier. The convenient location (in the industrial park of Fernelmont, right by the E42 motorway) ensures the turbine is in line with the wishes of the Government of Wallonia, which prefers for wind energy to be generated in or around existing industrial areas.

Dassenveld Wind Farm in Halle

1999. A milestone!
Our first turbine, built when Eoly Energy was still part of Colruyt Group, is a proud feature of Halle’s skyline. At the time, it was the tallest turbine in all of Belgium. Today, this first turbine has been dismantled. It went on to start a new life abroad, where it is now used for educational purposes.

In 2014, two more turbines were added to the Halle site, along with another three in 2017 – a move that would go on to double the farm’s production capacity. The latter three turbines are owned by Eoly Cooperative, offering private individuals the opportunity to invest in wind energy.

Eoly Cooperative, owner of one wind turbine in Halle

On 16 February 2017, Eoly Cooperative launched a capital increase to fund its very first wind turbine at the Halle Dassenveld wind farm.

In just six weeks, 1,200 member-owners co-invested more than 4 million euro. These member-owners are helping to make the energy market more sustainable, which in turn helps to combat climate change.

Eoly Cooperative doesn’t just give private individuals the opportunity to invest in wind energy. We want to go even greener by developing a park for member-owners. 

The park will promote biodiversity and allow member-owners to enjoy nature, with an unrivalled view of their new wind turbine, as renewable energy and nature go hand in hand!

Frasnes-lez-Anvaing Wind Farm

Wind Farm de Frasnes-lez-Anvaing

Eoly plans the construction of 3 wind turbines in Frasnes-lez-Anvaing reaching 150m high and providing enough green electricity for 6900 families annually.

With a capacity of 13.8MW, the farm will eventually be able to supply green energy to around 6,900 households per year, while reducing 6,700 tonnes of CO2 emissions!

Ciney-Sovet Wind Farm

Eoly Energy is planning to construct a wind farm in Sovet (near Ciney), both along and east of the E411. The location is well-situated in terms of wind harnessing and complies with all the criteria set out by Walloon legislation. The four wind turbines would produce more than 25,000MW per year, enough to power around 7,200 households. This would cut CO2 emissions by 6,000 tonnes.

The wind farm would allow us to expand our capacity to generate green energy and offer nearby residents the opportunity to invest in local and sustainable energy production.

Eoly is planning a new wind farm at the A8 – E429 motorway with four wind turbines. This location is in an agricultural area and respects all the conditions of the legislation.

The wind park is located in the neighbourhood of the wind parks Ghislenghien, Ollignies and Halle. Eoly Energy invests here also in sustainable, local energy production.

Ronquières Wind Farm

Eoly is planning a seven-turbine wind farm along the Brussels-Charleroi canal, near the inclined plane of Ronquières. Three of the turbines will be located in Braine-le-Comte, with the remaining four in Seneffe. The combination of the canal and the inclined plane create the perfect conditions for a wind farm. Moreover, site is located at a fair distance from nearby homes. Together, these seven turbines will provide enough green energy to power around 18,000 households for a whole year.

Nivelles Wind Farm

Nivelles Wind Farm

Together with Engie, we are planning the construction of 3 wind turbines in the industrial park south of Nivelles. Here, 2 are planned for Eoly Energy.

Industrial parks are the ideal site for wind turbines. There is minimal nuisance and they enhance the landscape of the industrial park. With a capacity of 4.2 megawatts, they generate around 18,750 MWh of electricity annually and save 7,500 tons of CO2.

Bommelaere Wind Farm

Eoly Energy, Aspiravi NV and Storm are looking into the possibility of co-developing a wind farm along the E40 motorway (between the Nieuwpoort and Oostduinkerke junctions) and the Veurne-Nieuwpoort channel. The project is currently only in the exploratory phase. Certain spatial and environmental aspects require further research. The plan is to build 18 wind turbines with a capacity of 5,6 MW each – enough to provide 81.200 families with green energy for an entire year.
